Microsoft Office 365 Changes Cloud Storage Limits

I just read an article on ZDNet that talks about Microsoft changing the size of the Cloud Storage Limits for users.

I am happy to read that I am not near the new limit of 1 TB that my Office 365 subscription will be allowing. Some time back Microsoft had promised unlimited Cloud Storage with their OneDrive product but a few users decided to store way too much (according to the article, some are storing 14,000 times more that the average user) so Microsoft has changed it's mind. Alas, it only takes a few to spoil it for the rest.

The hard drive on my laptop is 1 TB and I have a 3 TB Cloud Drive at home which I can access remotely with my phone or tablet.

The reason for using the OneDrive with it's new 1 TB limit is to store files that I want to be able to access from any of my devices (computer, tablet, phone) using my Microsoft Office 2016 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Some of those files I also share with others so that we can collaborate on projects and/or volunteer activities.

Here is a link to the ZDNet article if you would like more details.
