With a background in U.S. Air Force Police Investigations, I moved into the IT field in 1986 starting out as a computer operator performing backups and printing reports, monthly, quarterly and annual statements for a Trust department. I quickly taught myself 4 programming languages and was promoted to a Trust Programmer. I was eventually hired away by a competing bank to run their Trust Account system which evolved into PC Support, network administrator and eventually an IT regional manager with support responsibilities and staff in Alaska, California, Oregon and Washington. I spent several years leading a Microsoft Access Developers group in the Seattle area and have Access database applications in use in Arizona, Washington, Oregon, California, and Kampala, Uganda.

I've been volunteering for many years now for community events since 1985 working at such local events as the Seafair Milk Carton Derby, the Seafair Unlimited Hydroplane Races, the Taste of Edmonds and Tastin 'N Racin'.
For global community service I created a Paperless Patient Tracking System using the Microsoft Acccess database platform to replace the paper medical records at the Naguru Teen Health Center in Kampala, Uganda. The clinic services over 12,000 teens each year and the database application has made tracking the patient demographics and type of care given much easier.
